Group Pilates Classes
The most common form of Pilates classes
around are group classes. Offered by most renowned fitness clubs
group Pilates classes are a great way to learn the basics of this
excellent form of exercise while also creating friendships that
can last a lifetime.
If you are a member of a health club then you
will most likely be able to take group Pilates classes for free
during their weekly schedule of courses. However, if you wish to
join a Pilates studio then you will most likely
pay per course. If you have never taken a Pilates course before
then beginners are encouraged to go this route. It is best to pay
and go to select courses to see whether or not the Pilates class
is right for you. Should you choose to join a studio that offers
only advanced level training, you may get discouraged and quit whereas
by joining the right Pilates class for your level of fitness, you
will be encouraged to continue thus deriving maximum benefit and
enjoyment from the experience.
Group Pilates Classes are a good way to begin
your journey in Pilates fitness. They are generally
not as tough as personal training sessions, but do tend to be harder
than working out with a “reformer”. A reformer is a
machine made expressly to mitigate the strain placed on your body
by some of the more advanced Pilates positions.
Once you have mastered the moves in a group Pilates
class and feel ready for a more rigorous workout then you can always
opt for more personal Pilates classes or one-on-one training with
advanced teachers.
Pilates is an excellent way for anyone to get
into shape. Whether you are a ballerina or a football player you
are guaranteed to benefit from the increased flexibility, reduced
stress on joints and muscles and improved posture that will automatically
result from following a proper Pilates routine.
